The IMG meets approximately four times a year (twice face-to-face and twice on-line). Each Focal Point represents their organization and inputs to the IMG. Focal Points are responsible for implementing related actions in their own organizations.
The IMG focuses on the implementation of the UIN climate neutral strategy, and is currently working on the following subjects:
- Establishing, maintaining and developing a system for delivering annual greenhouse gas inventories and reporting
- Preparation of Emission Reduction Plans for all UN organizations
- Recommending a common approach to the purchase of offsets as means to achieve climate neutrality in UN
- Developing a proposal for a common Sustainability Management System for the UN
- Supporting and improving communications on the UN’s sustainability performance, both internally and externally.

PAHO sent its Emission Reduction Plan in September 14th 2010
I July 2010 Dr Mirta Roses Director of The Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization has nominee Dr Paulo Fernando Piza Teixeira as the new Chair of the “PAHO Health Safety and Well- Being Committee”, established in 2008. Mr. Piza Teixeira is a Brazilian occupational health and environmental engineer, work of for PAHO/WHO for 17 years.
The International Annual Meeting on Language Arrangements Documents and Publications (IAMLADP) will hold its annual meeting in Paris June 21-23. This is a UN body and has a pretty broad following at the annual meeting, In 2009, Isabella Marras UNEP DTIE SUN and Local Government for Sustainability (ICLEI) presented UNEP's Green Meeting Guide with prompted the USG of DGACM to order the creation of a Task Force to explore sustainable meetings. I am the task force leader. The goal of the task force is to create a system, alliance, and set of evolving key indicators to deal with sustainable meetings. Being a ISO 14001:2004 environmental management system certified operation at UNON the task force wants to systematically gather information on how sustainable IAMLADP affiliate meetings are, similar to ISO system structuring, and utilize a mechanism to report that to the UN at large. This new web site struck me as a possible venue to accomplish that goal and to even faciliate green meeting alliances as well without reinventing the wheel. Can someone give me the email address of the focal points behind this greening the UN effort so that the IAMLADP task for can contact them for a discussion about the matter.
