Green Mission Forum

Do you work for a Permanent Mission to the UN? Would you like to find out more about what’s happening to green the UN and how other Permanent Missions are getting involved? Or are you already working with your colleagues to promote sustainability in your office?

We want to bring together Permanent Missions to the UN from all over the world and provide a forum where ideas can be exchanged and success can be shared.

We’ve set up a secure on-line group where you can tell others about your sustainability programme, share your experiences, and receive support and advice from other Permanent Missions across the world that are also working to reduce their harmful impacts on the environment.

Use our web-based forum to start a conversation, tell others what you’ve been doing and share useful documents.

HOW DO I JOIN THE FORUM?
 

Visit the Green Missions group and either sign in or click on the ‘sign up and apply for membership’ link. 

“Green Missions” is a restricted group, so only government employees can join the group.  Click on ‘apply for membership’.

Select from the options available how often you want to be kept updated on discussions taking place.

As soon as we’ve received notification that you want to join the group and confirmed that your email address is a government email address we will approve your membership. You will then receive email confirmation allowing you to access the group and start talking to other members.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
 

Start a conversation or simply let others know how your sustainability programme is progressing.

If you’ve got any questions, or would like to discuss an idea with someone, why not put it in a message to the other Permanent Missions?

Keep an eye on the forum and see if you can provide a useful response to someone else, or make a contribution to a conversation.
